The ideal candidate will ensure the safety and reliability of Kids II toy products through design critique and review, proper definition of product requirements, establishing testing criteria, analyzing consumer complaints and returns, tracking and validating product changes and improvement actions and acting as the PI champion on safety labeling requirements. Responsibilities include the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review product design and highlight critical to safety/quality concerns and recommend changes accordingly.
- Spearhead the Quality Review Board (QRB) meeting and define applicable product requirements.
- Develop, maintain and update the Quality & Safety Specification (QCS).
- Review product test report and coordinate the initiation of corrective and preventive action on issues highlighted in the report.
- Analyze product returns/consumer complaints and implement action to close the issue through the use of various quality tools and techniques.
- Endorse and monitor product changes through the change notice process.
- Review and approve product deviation from established specification.
- Develop, maintain and update the template for safety labels in conjunction with Packaging group efforts as changes in the design and regulations are introduced.
- Interface with the various product functions in Kids II USA, Kids II Far East and certified testing labs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Qualified candidates must be very detail oriented, possess strong follow-up skills, highly organized, work efficiently in a fast paced environment, a team player and possess excellent grammar and communication skills.
