I currently have a 2 1/2 year old, a 4 year old, and a 5 year old (and expecting another girl soon!), and all of my girls just went crazy over this monkey! It comes with batteries already, so you can just take it straight out of the package and play! Press the button on top of the monkey's head, and he lights up, and starts rolling across the floor. It works perfectly fine on both carpet and hard surfaces. My kids were entertained by this for a long time, and still enjoy pulling it out every day to play with! Kids love chasing this monkey around, and sending it sailing back and forth to eachother! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to be entertained!

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from Adorable and fun monkey This adorable and fun monkey has definitely brought a lot of laughs to our house. My oldest son enjoys showing it to our 5 month old, but the attention span from both of them is short. The monkey definitely catches the baby's attention, but as he is learning to roll and crawl it stops flashing, talking and flipping too soon to keep his interest. The excitement of something new also wore off quickly as the monkey really only makes one movement and the sounds are limited. It is a great toy if someone is playing with him, but not for encouraging independent play. The single button on top to activate play requires more skill. It may be a better toy to introduce closer to 12 months.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very engaging! My 6-month-old is really active and wants to reach for everything, especially our phones and anything that lights up! This toy actually keeps his attention, and when it rolls away he is encouraged to go after it. I think he's going to learn to crawl very soon in part because he wants to chase the monkey! The music is fun and the way the monkey flips is even entertaining for me. Great toy!

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from cute toy My son is 6 months he fell n love with this toy in store and loves it at home BUT it keeps turning its self off after just a second i have to turn it off then bk on he cant play with it by hiself i have to sit with him cause of that i could understand if it turn its self off after ten mins but as soon as he crawls to it its off cute but not so much fun

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my granddaughter learning to crawl! I selected this product for my 7 month old granddaughter who is very close to crawling and she loved it! She was mesmerized by the lights and cute noises and immediately wanted to play with the monkey and kept trying to crawl toward it. This little monkey is so cute! Make sure to replace the trial batteries that come with it regular batteries. My granddaughter loved this little monkey and I would recommend to anyone with a little one close to or learning to crawl!

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the lights! Light up toys are always a favorite in our house! My 2 year old loves the songs and light up features. I'll be reviewing again when my infant gets to be a little older because I think it will be most popular for the crawling stage. I tried it out on a friends son who is 14 months and he was not that interested which is why I've only given 4 stars. It's bigger than I thought it would be- about 8 inches across.

    Rated 2 out of 5 by from Defective Product I purchased this toy for my infant, as a Christmas gift. From the time it was removed from the packaging... it has been defective. It works momentarily (once) and then 'errors out'. The monkey/ lights/ sound etc will not work again until you switch it off and then back on again. I think it could be great if it stayed on instead of having to continuously turn it off and back on again.
